CAD service

Need a DXF file? We'll create it.

Upload a sketch, photo or PDF and get a dimensionally accurate DXF file, ready for laser, plasma and waterjet cutting, CNC milling or further processing.

  • Sketch, photo, PDF, drawing
  • Delivered as DXF
  • Fixed-price quote upfront

What we build for you

The focus, clearly defined: your source material becomes a true-to-size, cut-ready DXF file.

Hand sketch to DXF

Dimensioned hand drawings are rebuilt to scale in CAD, including radii, holes and contours.

Photo to DXF

Photos of parts, templates or sheet metal are de-skewed, measured and traced into a clean contour.

PDF & scan to DXF

PDF drawings, scans and catalogue sheets become clean, editable vector geometry.

Cleanup & cut preparation

Existing DXF files get cleaned up: duplicate lines, open contours and layer chaos removed.

Frequently asked questions

Which files can I upload?

JPG, PNG, WEBP and PDF, up to 20 MB per file. Photograph straight from above where possible and include a scale reference (a ruler or caliper, for example).

What do you need for dimensionally accurate results?

At least one known reference dimension. Dimensioned sketches are ideal. Without any measurement the contour can only be reproduced proportionally, not to scale.

What does the file need to look like for my machine to process it?

Three things matter: a single layer holding only the cutting contours, closed contours with no gap between start and end point, and 1:1 scale. That is exactly how we deliver.

In detail in the guide
How long does it take?

Turnaround depends on scope and is stated in the quote. Production starts once payment has been received.

Can it be done faster?

Yes. When creating the order you can choose express handling: your order is then prioritised and completed within 24 hours of payment being received. The surcharge is 50 % on the quoted price and is shown in the quote before you commit.

What if something isn't right?

Get in touch through your client area. Deviations from the commissioned source material will be corrected.

Who owns the finished file?

Once payment is complete, the usage rights to the DXF file created are yours.

I just want to open a DXF file, not place an order — can I do that here?

Yes — use our free DXF viewer for that. It displays your file directly in the browser, with zoom and pan, and also detects the AutoCAD version and the unit used. The file never leaves your computer.

I have a DWG file but need DXF — can I do that without placing an order?

Yes — our free DWG-to-DXF converter converts your file directly, no account needed. For a complete redraw or cleanup, we're happy to create the file for you as a paid order.

We also do what goes beyond the cutting contour

Alongside cut-ready DXF files we take on classic design work — from a single part to a measured original:

  • 3D design of individual parts
  • Assemblies made up of several parts
  • Reverse engineering from an existing sample
  • Laser scanning of parts and originals

Drop us a line about what you have in mind and we will come back to you with an assessment.
